I am a writer, author and publisher at Fair Play Publishing and founder of the Manly Writers' Festival and Football Writers' Festival. This is my personal website with my writings over the past decade or more (and if I can find any, even before then, but please note it's not yet up-to-date).

I am a 'FIFA whistleblower' for my work in lifting the lid on corruption and governance issues and mismanagement within world football administration years before the FIFA arrests in May 2015, and as a long-term advocate for change in FIFA. I am a lifelong football fan, former amateur player, and longstanding grassroots volunteer in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Townsville. I have worked professionally in football with a domestic league club, state federation, as team manager of the Socceroos and as a senior executive with FFA. Prior to working in football, I worked as a senior executive with the federal government in the areas of health, education and budgetary policy, and as a Ministerial advisor. I have represented Australia at World Health Organisation and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation fora, including leading Australian delegations to both in Europe, Asia and Australia.

 

My volunteer duties include being chair of a community-based cancer care charity and chair and curator of the Manly Writers' Festival.
